Welcome to Carterton Bowls Club – a friendly and inclusive club at the heart of our local community.
Founded in 1914, Carterton Bowls Club has a proud history and a passion for the game of bowls. Located in the beautiful town of Carterton, Oxfordshire, our club provides a warm and welcoming environment for players of all ages and abilities — from complete beginners to seasoned bowlers.
We offer a full calendar of events, including internal competitions, friendly matches, league fixtures, and social gatherings. Whether you're looking to play competitively or just enjoy a relaxed game with friends, there's something for everyone at Carterton Bowls Club.
Our outdoor, indoor greens and clubhouse are open throughout the year, and we are always keen to welcome new members. Equipment is available for newcomers, so there's no need to worry if you're new to the sport.
Join us and discover the fun, friendship, and fitness that lawn bowls can offer. Come along for a roll-up, have a chat, and see why Carterton Bowls Club is such a special place.
Carterton Bowls Club is a privately run club, proudly managed by a dedicated committee of volunteers. Our committee oversees the day-to-day running of the club, ensures smooth operations, and works hard to maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and well-organised environment for all members. Being privately run allows us to make decisions in the best interests of our members, promoting both competitive excellence and community spirit across all levels of the game.
